    Re: hairy

    Lint brush?

Painter's tape pressed against fabric and then removed?

    p.s.

We moved this out of the Information Station and into Detailing 101

      Re: hairy

Thanks but the lint brush built up to fast and this cat is a long hair WHITE VERY LONG HAIR! and I am afraid that the tape will leave sticky residue or glue marks and I wont detail this boxter till I have a solution for everything, but I will try the tape and or maybe ask the customer if I can bring it with me to open garage march 13..thanks J&M

You can also try duct tape to remove them if the lint brush runs out.

            Re: hairy

When I detailed my one and only paying job, I ran into a lot of hair problems and used the hair removal brush (found at most stores) and brushed the seats, carpet kinda like a broom and vacuumed it. I used it on my Neon, but it "scratched" the fabric (kind of different fabric and very prone to marks.....).

Dont let the cat get in there to begin with

Maybe try the blue masking tape for painting, the sensitive version.

Not sure what all the cat hair is on to. For fabric or leather seats I'd use the shop vac followed by the lint roller (tape). I don't believe the roller will leave any residue on your seats.

trust me,as mike will tell you i know cats! onthe outside surface use painters tape as it leaves no residue. inside as you vac use a rubber pet hair brush found at pet stores.it is different than the brush from megs, as it has a squeege blade on one side that is gentler on the fabric.
                      good luck!

I agree with the painters tape suggestions. It's available in 2" width and will not a leave a residue or any adhesive behind - it's a safe as using a lint roller. The only brush I'd ever use on my cloth top is a very gentle one for light cleaning but that would not be sufficient to pull up cat hair. I would not use an aggressive brush, one suitable for cat hair clean up, on my cloth top.

I thought he meant interior of his car, no...I wouldn't use a hard brush such as the one I mentioned on the top. Painters tape works good. Don't use an off brand, stick with name brand.
