  • G100 or G110?

Which DA should a rookie get the G100 or the G110. I have no experience with a DA so I am depending on the experience of this forum to steer me in the right direction.
You repair things with tools. You fix things with a hammer.

Both units are made to be very user-friendly. I read once that "the only way you can damage your paint w/ the PC is if you drop it on your car..." You may be able to find a G100/PC cheaper than a G110, but the G110 does have a more powerful motor which may help remove swirls and defects quicker.

I went with the G100 because it has a lifetime warranty whereas the G110 only had a 1 year warranty, but like mike_svt said, the G110 is more powerful.

I wish extremely generalized statements like this one would be given a thought before being perpetuated because they are very dangerous.

"PC" did and will damage paint even in the hands of extremely experienced professionals under the right circumstances. No one should ever blindly trust that any tool is 100% safe 100% of the time. There is no such thing. One should always approach things with common sense dose of caution, learn where pitfalls might be (like spot pads, work on edges, etc) and respect that all the time.
