  • Maintaining with fillers

Some of you may or not believe this, but while I was polishing out my car last week, I had a Chicago Electric rotary that I bought at Harbor Freight break on me! Unbelievable huh!?

Anyways my point is that I simply do not have the time right now to spend the day or two needed to polish out the car, nor the resources to keep it 100% swirl free, so I thought about keeping the car the best looking as possible with fillers from polishes like M7, than top it off with NXT 2.0, and every week after a quick wash, top it off with NXT spray wax with a daily dusting done with UQD. I was thinking this should keep my car well protected, but this led me to the question of 'is there a better way'.

To me, NXT spray is almost as easy to use as NXT 2.0, but the whole point of me using it would be to keep the paint as swirl free as possible with its fillers, but does it have any to help hide swirls? Also, while I have used M7 a lot, I always used it on other people's cars, so can anyone speak for if it just washes away after the first car wash or use of UQD, or can people give their experiences with its durability with a wax over it.

I know to take the durability claims with a grain of salt, but my car is pretty well babied, so I just want to get a rough estimation on just how M7 would work on a clear coated garaged car.

Any insight, or advice for me would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Maintaining with fillers

EDIT: I meant to say that NXT spray is just slightly easier than NXT 2.0; the forum wouldn't let me go back to edit. The car is driven daily BTW, and is parked outside during the day, but garaged and dusted off at night with UQD.

Any reasoning behind this? What do you mean?

In order for the #7 to wash away, the wax coat you have on top of it would have to wash away (right?). As long as you have a coat of wax on top, #7 should last as long as your wax. IME with #7 and #26 on my DD which is outside 24/7 (I use the #7 to help hide some scratches that I can't remove with the PC), it lasted about 6 weeks or so. Of course by then the #26 was starting to lose it's shine.

I don't know about the NXT Spray wax...someone else will probably chime in.
