ok i have bought a lot of detailer line products but to be honest i dont know what the ratio stuff means. like when they say 12:1 does that mean 12 ounces to a galon of water or something. i dont know can someone help?

You must dilute the product with water. Example if it states 12:1 then mix 12ounces of water with 1 ounce of product into a spray bottle.

It means parts. 4:1 means 4 parts water to 1 part product. Examples are 4oz water 1oz product or 4 gallons water to 1 gallon water, etc.

ok now i have a 32 oz bottle now it has numbers such as 1-26 with tick marks. and in the middle of the bottle it has the 10-1 and 5-1 and so on now if the meguiars glass cleaner says 10-1 do i fill the bottle up with water to the 10 tick and then 1 tick of the solution? so that means the 10-1 in the middle of the bottle doesnt mean anything because i would be well over that mark. sorry but im confused please help.

I dont fully understand your bottle...

1:1 should be in the very middle, not 10:1?

Different bottles that are pre marked will do it different ways.

Some will put the 10:1 near the bottom and that will mean put the product in first, then fill up to some mark on the bottle with water.

Others will put the 10:1 mark near the top, and that will mean put the water in up to that line, then fill up to some mark with your product.

If it was Meguairs bottles, you would fill up to the 10:1 line with water, then fill up to the seam with your product.

ok murr thats how mines is my 10:1 is at the bottom so i would put the product in first up to that mark then now i dont know how much water to put in. maybe i should just order meguiars bottles.

or i could just pour the product into a empty bottle then use the meguiars bottle i already have.

maybe try to measure it on your own to see where the mark is. Measure how much product fills up to the line, then 10 times more of water, and see where the "mark" is.
