  • My meg products line up!

ok so Im ordering some products from megs for a small start up.

so far my simple game plane is this for cars that need it

#82 for harder swirls etc. then..
    #80
    #9
and to finish it off #21?

I will also determine if each vehicle needs clay baring. but does this sound right?
    thanks!

Did you mean M83 instead of M82?

M82 is pretty gentle as far as swirl mark removers go, it's less aggressive than M80.

The other products you listed should get you going, if you're doing production work, not show car detailing work, then you might want to get a one-step cleaner/wax like M66 or ColorX to start with.

Make sure you're charging more for show car quality detailing work and if you doing basic wash and wax detail jobs, (production work), then you should be,

      Washing
      Claying if needed
      One-Step Cleaner Wax

That's it, besides that you still have to

      Vacuum interior
      Dress trim
      Clean wheels and dress tires
      Clean windows

So you don't want to invest a lot of time doing multiple steps to the paint when just getting it clean and shiny is the norm. (Unless you're getting paid more for more time invested into swirl removal)

Also, lots of W-8006 polishing pads, you can never have to many pads.

Mike's right, it is easy to end up doing more than you are payed to because we like to work on the cars.... Even just helping a friend I can end up doing more than I intended.

When you are just payed to wash and shine a vehicle, #66 should be your best friend.

Re: My meg products line up!

Ya sorry for the typo! I meant the #83

So if I may ask what are the order of products you use for lets say show room quality & something not top of the line, less that showroom quality but better that Joes $15 wash and quick wax? does that make sense?

I want to be able to clean and protect cars with no scratches, swirls etc. and I also want to be able to get out small to medium swirl marks and scratches out of cars that need and and finish with a protectant... can any one help me pick products for this.
