  • What makes a good wax?

I am writing an ebook about car care guide and now I have to get the basics for alot of things and this is one of them.

What are the criterias of good wax and sealants? You can say good durability, good clarity, good shine, etc... but how can you measure this? I know I can tell which one is better from my own experience of using different kinds of products but if you are new and don't have this kind of experience what help you choose a wax?
Started back in 2006 reading Mike. P posts and practiced on customers' cars, ended up writing a book, see merawat mobil, Fast forward 2014 established toko salon mobil online (online shop) to cater for car care enthusiasts and local car detailers.

Boy this is like asking which is better blond or Brunet it is up to the individual.
Some prefer wax because it has more depth but sealants are gaining on that from what they were a few years back.
Sealants are far more durable and usually have more gloss but some sealant to my eye look like they are sitting on top of the paint.
One that starts with Z comes to mind.
Wax or sealant is like woman which looks best is all in the eyes of the beholder.
If you want durability then their is no contest a good sealant wins hands down

        Agree 100%

For me, I like to have a couple of different waxes. ColorX/M66 for removing water spots and polishing on the go, NXT for hiding swirls, and some sort of carnauba wax (M26, Pinnacle Souveran, Collnite #476, M16, ect.). Just depends on what the situation is and what I need out of a wax.
