Between ScratchX and ColorX, ScratchX is the stronger cleaner. So for removing swirls/hazing/etching (all of which are effetively the same thing) ScratchX is going to be better by hand.

Thanks Murr,I always thought so until i saw the thread in Marine & RV(Kayak).Colorx did some miracles by hand on a Plymouth 1947,i guess that vehicle has no clear coat on and that Colorx was the right product for it.
ColorX is very good, no doubt about it. But with a clearcoat (often harder than a SS paint), you would likely need more applications of ColorX than you would ScratchX. Bit milder product, plus the wax/polish ingrediants, so it is just going to take longer unless you used a machine.
When would you put on the ColorX? LSP or after a polish or before a WAX?
In the Marine & UV thread Mike shows a Plymouth 1947 the vehicle had large amount of swirls on it .It was all removed by hand using Colorx. As LSP NXT was applied ,amazing results.
ColorX contains wax, so it could be your LSP. But since Meguiars recomends 2 coats of wax, many people (myself included) will top ColorX or other cleaner/waxes with a coat of a regular wax if they have time.
