  • NXT 2.0 in the Cold Weather??????

Hello all, its winter here and my dark colored car needs a coat of wax on it. the roads are full of salt here and I don't have a garage. I want to put wax on to give it protection and temporary hide some swirls. in the spring, i will do the full detail, but for now the drive thru car washes is the only thing keeping my car clean.

NXT 2.0 has anyone used it in the cold (below 45 degree F)

I know NXT 1.0 was difficult to use in the cold and took forever to dry
someone said more than 1hr for the swipe test to work.

I also heard that NXT 2.0 drys really quick and easier to take off. So am planning, if possible I can put NXT 2.0 in the cold (shade spot off course), the temp here is now 37 degrees F.

    anyone....input.....

If you can find a place in the sun (yeah it's night now, but if you were planning on doing it tomorrow), that would be good. When it's cold out, it's OK to apply wax in the sun, in fact it will help. It's about 47 here now, and it took 20-30 minutes for NXT 2.0 to dry when I applied it in the garage a while ago. I don't have any experience with using it below 47 though.

Like AeroCleanse said, do a spot test if you're unsure.

In the winter time or when it's cold outside, let the wax dry in the sun.
