  • Paging Mike Phillips

    Mike I ordered The new NXT 2.0 & M135 & #40 & # 39 from ADS.
They shipped it and UPS is going to deliver on Monday.
My concern is that it will be in Indianapolis over the weekend and then loaded onto a unheated truck and the predicted temp for this weekend is -5 will-my products be ruined before I even get them
If it helps they are in gallon containers so it will take a little longer for them to freeze.

Did it ship already? If not or your not sure, call Rick @ ADS and have him hold it till Monday to send out. Sometimes you get the shipping information before the package is even sent.

          Bummer.

Wonder if there is a way to go pick it up from the UPS warehouse? Probably not but I'm just thinking out loud. I don't really know how that works. I used to work for UPS but that was for stuff going the other way. Emptying out the little brown trucks at night and loading semi trailers.

I suspect that if your products are bad, that ADS will replace them at no charge. ADS is known to be a stand up vendor.

That's why I hate to order products in the winter!

Just to point out too. Not everything goes bad from freezing. You do want to avoid it as much as possible. I had an order that was partially frozen, the thin liquids were slush and the thicker ones were almost solid. Everything in that order ended up being fine. When you get your stuff bring it inside right away and let it thaw. Then shake it up really good, if it looks like the right color and consistency, you should be fine.

Hope it all works out for you!

UPS has a standard $100 insurance, but I don't know if they will honor it if the products arrive frozen.

                  Good Luck.

                    Re: Paging Mike Phillips

Hey thanks everyone for chiming in on this while we're offline today, looks like all the bases have been covered, after you get the product, inspect by shaking well and check for a uniform consistency. If it looks to have a uniform consistency after shaking everything should be okay.

Keep us up to date and yes, winter weather does cause problems when shipping liquids.

Y'all should move to Phoenix. We don't have these problems here.

Of course, shipping in the summer presents a different set of issues....

OTOH, there are lots of houses for sale here. If you can get financing, you can find a great deal here!

I have always heard that you must not allow detailing products to freeze so that is why I'm worried about it.
This brings up something that I never thought about but when you buy at say a Wal-Mart in the winter that stuff was delivered on a unheated truck so maybe it is damaged when you buy it.
