  • Mini rotary?

Hi all! I am a happy owner/user of Makita rotary and I finally feel comfortable using it, but I sometimes bump into a situation when I wish I had smaller tool. What is out there?

    Thanks.

P.S. What happened to FS section? I have a gallon of #83 I'd like to unload.

    Re: Mini rotary?

Well, there are a few rotary polishers that come in a smaller size.

Metabo and Fein are two that I can remember right now.

You might want to ask Paul, the_other_PC, about his experience with his Metabo.

The 'For Sale' section is down near the bottom of the forum - seems like I'm the only one posting there.

I might buy that gallon if the price is right, though.

They do make drill attachments, but I've never used one.

        Hello,

I am just a lurking international from Holland, but I like to respond.

        I use something like this.
Very usefull but you have to have a big aircompressor.
I use it on my headlights for example combined with PlastX
or on that hard to reach spots on fenders etc.

          Re: Mini rotary?

          Just to note...

Not sure the exact reason why but when ever you buff using a smaller pad on a rotary buffer it tends to leave swirls in the paint in the area you buff unless you're suing a foam finishing pad and very light/mild polish. So if you use a small pad on a rotary or get a mini-rotary you want to check and if needed re-buff the area with a less aggressive product than your initial product to remove any swirls.
