It looks interesting. However I am very happy with the "Brinkmann Dual xenon light". If you get it be sure to tell us how it works. Good luck with it.

Definately looks interesting to me also. If you try one, let us know how it is. It looks like it might be less of a concentrated light beam than the Xenon. If it actually looks like sunlight, I can see how it would be good for matching paint on panels.

I have no idea who’d have the lowest price. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an ebay seller. Most places that sell that sort of thing are commercial PBE suppliers and I doubt many discount it much.

I can say that it does a terrific job. It’s waaaaay brighter than the Brinkman and stays that way since it runs off wall power. Personally, I think it shows paint defects better but I suppose some people might think it’s too bright.

Yeah, I already did "usual suspect searches" before posting, thank you though, but kept on looking as I heard of price lower than $150. Found in it the meantime for $145 at http://www.toolfetch.com/Category/Au...?per=15&page=6

It might be a little bit before I "fetch" it (have few other priorities first) but will keep you posted unless somebody does it before then.

So you have an experience with it?

One of the Meguiar’s gang, I don’t recall if it was Mike Pennington or Jason Rose or somebody else, brought one to a Thursday night Open Garage session. So we got to play with it for a while.

The spot pattern does diverge much more than the Brinkman’s but I didn’t find it to be a problem.

Thank you, PC! I will definitely get one over the next months.
