Can you add a 32oz bottle of speed glaze to a 1 gallon bottle of diamond cut to increase the play time and make it more foam pad friendly?
Now before you call me crazy, let me explain.

I live in Australia! M80 is the most aggressive foam pad stuff you can get but I am not writing to complain(I have done enough of that).
All I want to do is do the best with what I have available.

Meguiar's doesn't recommend this but in you're situation you can give it a try and see if it helps you but usually mixing products is a bad idea as it will alter the original intended performance of both products.

As for play time with any product, remember the most important thing when working on paint is to ALWAYS WORK CLEAN. This means clean your pads often and wipe off any spent residue from the panel before applying fresh product.

Never apply fresh product to spent product on the panel, it dilutes the strength of the product you're using and tends to make the buffing process more gummy.

Cleaning a pad often means cleaning your pad after every application of product or every other application of product. Some people think cleaning your pad often means cleaning once or twice throughout the entire project.

How much product are you using over how large an area?

In general, less is more. When I first tried M85 I used too much. I found that the less I used, the longer it played and the less it gummed up. Once I got the amount right it didn’t gum up at all.

And, like Mike said, clean the pad often.

Are you trying to use 85 on the pc or rotary. If you are using it with the rotary why even try and make it foam pad friendly (85 for use with wool pads only)get a few wool pads and go from there. If you are trying to use it on the pc which it really is NOT designed to be used with due to it not being able to break down the abbrasives easily I would suggest against it. I think even if you thin 85 out with 80 you are going to still have a heavy compound in my opinion.
