    Ultimate Quik Detailer unavailable in my area...next best thing?

    I have been waiting and waiting for the "amazing" Ultimate quik Detailer, to enter the stores in my area (Northern midwest Canada) but this doesnt seem to be happening for a while yet, I know I could order some online, but I live in the "boonies" and it would take forever to get here, so my question is, until Ultimate quik detailer is available in stores around here, What is the NEXT BEST thing to use? Even if its not a "gasp" Mequiars product, I would like to find something of similar quality. I have a black truck and I spend alot of time on the road, So show car glaze is out of the question because athough it looks great for a day... it only looks great for a day lol. some other meguiars spray detailers Ive used seem to take a fair amount of work to look good from my experience, Turtle Wax Ice, is nice in the way that its very easy and fast to use & does not leave streaks, but it also leaves the finish with ZERO depth of gloss/shine. What would be readily available in a smaller town that would hold me over & do near the same trick?

    Are you wanting a spray equivalent or something having hydrophobics properties? Personally, I would just order it online, since you've been patiently waiting for this long. I really wouldn't use anything but UQD, as there no better detailer spray, not even NXT Speed Detailer. Here's one suggestion, maybe you can preorder the gallon size of M135 the pro UQD when it should be available anytime this month. Based on what you said, the pro line will never get to your local stores, so I personally would do it this way.

      any CARQUEST stores in your area? if so then try DG AW (sorry can't
      post the product full name)...you won't be disappointed and it's cheaper

          Super-Walmart here in Yulee doesn't have it, neither does Walmart on Amelia Island last I checked, so it's not that unusual.

          I haven't found anything that works as well as it anywhere, so I suggest you just order some.

              I feel your pain rvx. I'm in Ontario and can't get it anywhere. I called Megs Canada and they said there is no release date for UQD yet.
              I ordered one bottle in the summer and loved it but it was so expensive ; I wont be doing that again.
              I'm going to Florida in Feb. so I will hit the Walmarts there and stock up.

                Is there a shelf life of these types of products? If I did order a case, would it still work as good in a year or 2? .....I wonder if I could order some thru my local Napa or my local auto body supplies shop who handles meguiars, I might attempt that today

                  If your driving to FL, no problems.
                  If flying , best pkg and fedex it home, unless you dont mind the TSA having a look at it or maybe something else....

                    In Canada our Walmarts do not carry UQD, but I heard somewhere that every March there is a buyer from Walmart who goes to Meguiar's to determine which new products they'll carry in their stores, so hopefully this year it'll come here! Otherwise the only place to get it is directly from Meguiar's Canada (they'll ship it to you, or if you live in Mississauga you can pick it up from their warehouse)

                      I couldn't hold off any longer, I have asked all over town about where I could find it, I also happened to be in edmonton last weekend a few guys there couldnt get it either, I purchased a 6 pack off ebay, it came yesterday, cant wait to try it out! The smell is a striking resemblance of NXT Tech wax, is it not?

                        Yes it has. Many of Meg's consumer products are using this distinctive smell. However, UQD is simply not another Meg's product that has been relabelled or slightly changed. It is completely different product with very unique characteristics. I have used at least a dozen bottles of since it came out, including my test sample, and just love the product!

                          Just so you all know, Ultimate Quik Detailer is shipping out to Wal Mart CANADA on Monday. The stores should have it within 2 weeks. They are also bringing in Colour X.

                          Canadian Tire will also be carrying Ultimate Quik Detailer very soon; although I do not know the exact date.
