Plastic 50cc scooter (do I wax?)

I have a kymco 50cc (2 stroke) scooter, and was wondering what the standard procedure is for detailing?

I am 99% sure it has a clear coat
It is sparkly under this clear coat, so I think it is painted plastic (red in color).

BTW, the body of the scooter is plastic.

there are no significant flaws, I just want to protect it for my Sisters

by the way, I used to make fun of men that rode these things, but it turns out they are super fun

haha I would wax it! ..but then again I have waxed my cars, lawnmowers, bikes and computers.

It can definately be clayed and waxed... and if it is paint you could do more detailing also, like cleaners and polishes. Remember you are working on whatever is on top, so if it is painted, you are working on paint.

And you need some metal polish as well...

But then again I have waxed cars, lawnmowers, snowblowers, toolboxes, bikes, countertops...

If it was mine I would wax it. Wax on alot of stuff here. Even did the shower stall with a-12. Works great on protecting the stall from the hard water in my area.

Yeah you could wax it.

Great investment, gas prices are going up each day so with this Scooter you can sure save on gas!

Hmmm...a guy that rides a scooter? I don't know about that.....

JK. Yes, you can wax it. My motorcycle has plastic panels also, and I use clay, paint cleaner, polish, and wax on it. Remember, what you're working on is the coating on it, not the panel itself.

my friends laughed, took it around the block, then took it all back now they want to ride it alot, turns out the laughter was better
