    How can i know my car is Single Stage or Multi Stage (Clearcoat)?

    Take a foam applicator pad, a terry towel, or a Microfiber towel, and rub some ScratchX into the paint well. Look at the applicator you used, and if the paint color shows on it, it is single stage. Otherwise it is BC/CC. If you don't have ScratchX, Cleaner Wax or DC #1 worked in really well will work.

      Take a paint cleaner and a microfiber/some kind of applicator(scratchx or m80, or even DC paint cleaner) and work it into the paint and if you see pigment voila you have single stage if not you have clear. pretty easy eh?

              i have another question. If my car's door is repaint after collosion, will it be SS or still have a chance of CC?

                It will usually be repainted the same as the rest of the car, especially when going through insurance.
