Can anybody tell me whether Meguiar #2 same as #83?

I believe #2 fine cut is and abrasive and on the older side of megs line and #83 DACP is newer and has a chemical breakdown in that as your using it it will breakdown to a finer polish producing less swirls and a better finish. Gotta love that.

#2 is for rotary use only as well.

Really Nightswan, I've been using DACP with my rotary for a couple of years now. Think one of megs classes I went to showed me that. I could be wrong!
Maybe Mike will chime in on this one and help us out.

Meguiar's #2 Fine Cut Cleaner was designed originally for Single Stage paints. Moreover, to break the product down properly, a rotary is required.

Meguiar's #83 DACP was designed with BC/CC in mind. It however can be used by rotary, DA, RO or by hand. I have found that it works great with either the rotary or PC.

The two products are quite different. As such, I would suggest the #83 DACP.

I never mentioned DACP in my post.

But you're right, a lot of people on this forum do use DACP with a rotary.

I took it as you can only use a rotary with #2 not thinking that #83 can use a rotary, PC, or by hand and with #2 you can't do that.
