I was wondering if anyone knows the bast way to wash/clean detailing products such as foam applicators, chamois, SS microfiber towels and the microfiber wash mitt after each use? Is it simply dish soap and water?

Re: Cleaning your Detailing materials
Yup that's fine. I put them all in the washer and add a plain liquid detergent no bleach, etc, and no softener! I also throw a dash of dawn in there for good measure. Afterwards, into the dryer as is, no fabric sheets, these alongside the softener will coat the MF towels, mitt and pads and will causes streaking when you use them to detail, ie. when you UQD your car. Hope this helps.

Re: Cleaning your Detailing materials
I recently purchased a special microfiber detergent (rejuvenator?) that seems to work pretty well. It's pretty expensive compared to regular laundry detergent (or dawn) but does seem to clean well and leaves the cloths a little softer. The biggest change I've found is throwing a few dryer balls in with the microfiber towels. The balls really make the towels come out fluffy and soft like new....pretty good stuff.

Re: Cleaning your Detailing materials
I think he meant no liquid fabric softener. I would not use powdered detergent either.
The dedicated MF cleaner does seem to do a better job than liquid detergent.
The pre-soaking does sound like a good idea too.
