Gold Class is good stuff, esp for the looks, though a lot of people seem to like #26, which is similar.

My car being a daily driver, I went for the #21.

I like GC wax. In MY experience though, make sure you clay the car and make sure it's dust free. It leaves a brilliant shine on my Yukon (Gold Metallic) and Neon (Orange Blast) but if the surface of the paint is not clean, I've had little bumps, dust like feeling to it. I believe a few others experienced this. This was mind you after a clay on my paint. I contributed it to the mass amount of wind we have here in No. California and may have blown dust on the car prior to waxing. So, I Quik Detailed the areas before laying wax down and did not have problems after it.

If you haven't, do the 5 step for your paint care.

        Wash/Clean/polish/protect/maintain.

I've grown to like other waxes, M26, NXT, just tried M21 once but like it, and I bought Color X.

You'll like it. It's kinda like what looks good on your car kinda thing.

The gold class wax was the one that started me on the road to all Meguiars for cleaning the vehicles. I found it to be a very good wax. I really liked it alot. Now I mainly use #21. But there all good.

I wont need to clay any thing on my 71 truck! Brand new paint and it still say in a shop where nothing can get to it, I might drive it once ever 2 weeks and thats pushing it lol. Clear coat has been wet sanded and buffd, Still need to put a glaze on, Help clean ever thing up. Im just trying to get ever thing I need for down the road so that way i'll have it when I need it. Nothing worse haveing a car show the same day and trying to find the stuff in a small town lol.

Why I askd this ?. I found a x mass persent from my mom to me and its the old mgs gift box thing . But it was like 50 dollers, So she got it for like nothing. At frist I was going to buy the gc wax but I see lots of people like the nxt so I was going to buy that one but then I found my gift. I guess it woud not hurt if I had the nxt, I do have the nxt past wax but its not the nxt 2 .

Thanks ever one for the help!!!

Overspray could get on it. The only way to tell is to feel the paint.

You aren't going to want to wax the fresh paint for a bit anyways.

Over spray!!! Talking about paint over spray? If so there is no over spray on my truck what so ever. And the paint has been on for over a month! The guy thats painting my truck is one of my really good friends. He started body work in 59, My friend is 64 years old and body work is the only thing he has ever done. He has painted 18 wheelers airplanes, You name it he has painted it. He was showing me one of his tricks about over spray. He uses a tape but its not like painters tape. How he puts it on and what the tape is made of you don't get any over spray! Its like a sema car show paint job! I really need to up load my truck up on some thing and take it to the shows, Never drive it. But if I did that it woud be no fun lol

                  There is always a possibility...

How long did he say to let the paint cure? Different brands recommend different lengths of time, anywhere from 30 to 90 days.

I was just looking out, not trying to say anything.

LOL I know you was not trying to say anything !!!! The way I wrote made it seem like I was getting tickd. But ever thing is cool.

I know the pant is all PPG with the 180$ gallon clear!!! Best clear money can buy.

He only lives 3 4 miles from me, I have my truck back home but its still not done. Well theres still tape on my truck and compound. It still has 2 week to go maybe more, its just on how fast he will work!

When its all done he is going to detail it n stuff. So I wont be puting wax on it tell spring! sence he will be doing it all.

Im sure there was some over spray but he wetsanded ever inch and buffd so im sure if there was a little its gone now. I was there standing over his sholder when he was buffing and wet sanding lol. Its hard for over spray not to happen a little, I've found that out!.

I sure do thank you for the help.

Sorry the way I sounded.\ came out lol
