    Re: Best wax

You dont need to use the same wash and wax or anything, you can mix and match.

I like #21 mself. Nxt 2,0 looks like a winner as well if you can find any in your area, and I expect the #21 2.0 to be good as well.

I like NXT better than GC. If you have a walmart around you could get lucky and find the gift set with NXT 2.0.

Nxt 2.0 as your main go to wax, but you'll find many here prefer other combos and variations ie, #26 & 2.0 or #21 & 2.0, etc but the new Tech Wax 2.0 is Meguiars Flagship Wax.

No tricks. Put it on thin as with any wax, make sure it's dry and remove. Make sure to use a nice microfiber and you should be set.

Another one of my favorite waxes is #26.

And just to overload you with good information. You should read these links if you haven't already...

              Meguiar's 5-Step Paint Care Cycle

What are the differences between Meguiar's waxes?

How long do I need to let a wax dry before removing it?

                Re: Best wax

I know you already got your wax, But if you are just starting out getting the consumer cleaner wax would be a good thing. My first combo was the A-12 consumer cleaner wax, then topped with the Gold Class wax. You have to find out what creates the look you want. Then you have found the right combo. Good luck.

                    Re: Best wax

All of Meguiars products are great. I personally like Meg's #26, NXT or GC. GC is more finicky in my experience, even after a good clay and 99.9% sure the surface is clean, I get little tiny bumps in some areas. It's hard to work with, I now QD the surface then wax, it's good stuff. I've been using #26 and #21. I just bought some Color X for it's cleaning and waxing all in one capabilities. It almost seems like #21 with cleaners in it (color wise. LOL ). I just used it on clear coated wheels and it looks great. Did a coat of it on our Neon then 26 for the winter. Haven't touched the Yukon yet, may ColorX and follow with #26 or two coats of 21, depends what mood I'm in. LOL.

Like others said, it's a matter of preference with what looks good on your car.

Well it look like I'll be getting the NXT .

I went to Orilly auto parts and they are have a sell on mgs stuff. Watter magnet was 4.99, Then the Supreme Shine® Microfiber Towel (three pack) was 2.59 so I got all they had. . Going back today to get car wash and wax and thats all on sell

If the wax was hard to get off, you probably applied it too thick, and/or your surface wasn't prepared correctly (not clayed, etc.). I'm guessing in this case it's a combination of those two things. Next time you use it, apply a very thin layer; you should barely be able to see it's there.
