  • Quick Detailer vs Final Inspection vs Last Touch

What is the difference between these three products?

I live in a high wind, high dust area (prairie farming). Generally I need QD daily or wash my truck twice a week to keep things at a somewhat high standard. Which would better suit my needs?

I have never used Quick Detailer, but I really like Final Inspection, also check out Last Touch. I think that it is priced about the same as Final Inspection and it's diluted 1:1.

I like Final Inspection. I believe it leaves a more slippery finish and dust doesn't stick as much, I consider FI to be superior to QD.

Last Touch is a great product, as mentioned above it can be diluted 1:1 for claying or use it straight for QD'ing. To me it seems a little more picky and can streak so just remember; it is very important to use it on a cool surface and a little goes a long ways... IMO it leaves the best looking finish out of all the detailers in Meguiars line.

Does it only streak for you when not diluted? I've never had that problem before, but I have always diluted it.

I only use it diluted when claying and once I am done claying I do a second wash to remove the detailer so I really can't say. Always full strength when detailing.

I like Final Inspection the best. I really like the look and feel it leaves. Quick detailer is pretty good. I always wanted to try Last Touch but never got around to it. I really like the Detailer Line so I'm sure Last Touch will be good.

I found undiluted Last Touch a little tougher to work with (too ?sticky?) than the others but once I diluted it a tad (probably a little less than 1:1) all the problems I was having disappeared. It's now my favorite of the four I've tried and, diluted a little, more cost effective.

I use to use qd all the time. I just made the switch to last touch. I have not used the last touch for claying. Still use the remaining qd for that. The last touch so far has left a better finish between washings on my car. Imho it works great with no streaking so far. knock on wood.
