  • #83 on Black Plastic

Sorry for no pictures but I was using #83 on the weekend with Random Orbital and I taped up a black plastic door handle but ononly around it and not the middle and now I have a mark where the buffing pad touched the door handle where the tape wasn't.

I tried washing it off straight away and no luck and also tried rubbing some APC on it and still no luck.

Do you have any pictures? Not quite sure what happened here.....did you burn through the paint on the handle? Or is it just product that won't come off?

I will try and get a picture, not shore if it burnt the plastic cos the pad wasn't spinning really at all, actually really slow.

There is thin strip where these was no tape where on the plastic it's a light color black now.

I got some on a piece of plastic once and it took some hard rubbing with APC+ to get it off.. I can still see it though..

Given the fact that you where using a random orbital I doubt you burned though the paint. Some APC and a nylon brush should do a good job of removing it. #39 is also a great option for that.

Yeah I get feeling I am still going to be able to see it even if I can remove most of it.

Would it just come out over time.
