I am in the process of buying a pneumatic orbital sander but not sure what brand and size I should buy. Can someone give me some guidance. Thank you!

The one that the gang is using here is the Mirka Bulldog. Not surprisingly, it works really well with the Mirka abrasive system. (Which is a great paint sanding system!)
It uses the industry standard backing plate so it can also be used with other systems too. In some of these pix it's using a 3M Trizact disk.

Get a dynabrade, They come in .5mm cut and .25mm cut. If your wanting to wet sand get the smaller. And a 15gallon 2.5hp compressor will run it, it will work alot but it will run it. You should be able to find one for under $200 at a bodyshop supply store. I use mine daily with 3m 3000 trizact paper. And if you do have to get dirty with some 1500 or 2000 paper the 3000 on a da makes it much easier to buff out the courser scratches.

I played with a pneumatic DA once and I noticed that it turns more than the PC. It also doesn't bog down.I only played with it for about 10 mins because it was in my friends cousins shop. If I didn't already have a PC, I would want to get one of these units, because they seem a bit more powerful.
In that pic, is Mike peeling of the interface pad? It looks awful soft.
It looks like some people don't like the concept of waiting in line.

It's a Mirka Abralon pad. The abrasive is bonded to a cloth face with a foam middle layer and loop backing. They're awesome for wetsanding, they conform closely to surface contours and the water flows freely through the cloth and foam.
PC.
