Re: clay bar by itself?
Meguiar's does sell a clay bar by itself, but you probably will not be able to find it offline. The clay is in the proffessional line.
Professional Detailing Clay-Mild
You will probably have to order it on the internet. Meguiar's.com sells it, as does ADS.Lydia's Mobile Detailing

Re: clay bar by itself?
Meguiars sells Professional Detailing Clay-Mild and Professional Detailing Clay-Aggressive separately. It is a little more expensive, but you are getting a lot more. The mild is a little more aggressive than the clay thats comes in the Smooth Surface and Quik Clay kits. I would use the Mild clay, the aggressive is really really aggressive, and you probably don't need it.
Hope this helps!!Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway.

Re: clay bar by itself?
Hi Neighbor,
Super Autobac ... located 12 miles South of Norwalk ... has the Professional Clay. It is on Beach Blvd in Stanton about 2 blocks North of the Garden Grove (22) Freeway. Cost is about $28.00.
The best value, even though you have the quick detailer, is to pick up the new Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit. It's only about $17.00 and you can find it in any Pep Boys other Auto Parts stores as well as Super Autobac.
It includes a nice size Clay Bar, a bottle of Quick Detailer, a sample bottle of Meguiar's Cleaner Wax and a very high quality Microfiber Towel.
Hope this helps. Have Fun!2004 Toyota Tundra Limited V8 Dark Met. Green

Re: clay bar by itself?
Yeah the mild can be very agressive, tried it out for first time on black car with bad paint overspray which has been sitting on it for good few months.
I wanted to get it all off so got little aggressive with the mild clay and got some marring. But it came out with #80 Speed Glaze and now the area looks brand new.
Also it comes in one big block which you can cut up into 3 pieces.
