I know this is off base, but as a Mequire user for auto care, what would you reccommend for cleaning and waxing my 5th wheel RV?

I personally do not own a rv. However I believe the place to start would be Megs marine and rv surface care website. I hope this gets you started until someone more familiar with rv care can chime in.

23jam, I appreciate your reply. Ran a search for "Mequire marine and RV care" without results. I need an address. Thanks again.

          Hey,

I assume that your RV is gel coat fiberglass. How old is the RV, and in what condition? Are you detailing it by hand or by buffer/machine?

If the paint is lightly oxidized, I suggest using Meguiar's M-4416 Color Restorer. Normally, I would use a W-8006 Pad with the G100 polisher. You to be careful with any decals as they may lift off...

If the above does not do it, you may need to go more aggressive like M-4901 and then step back down through M-4416.

I would suggest adding one more step before waxing and that it using M-4516 Boat/RV Polish. This will add tremendous gloss to the gel coat.

Finally, finish off with M-6316 Flagship Premium Wax.

Here are some links for the products:

          #44 - Color Restorer
          #45 - Boat/RV Polish

#49 - Heavy Duty Oxidation Remover

          Flagship Premium Marine Wax

Here is my travel trailer. It is aluminum sided, but just like paint on cars/trucks, it needs some love too!

          I hope this helps!
