  • need advice choosing polisher

    hi all, newbie here.
Planning on having my own auto detailing business.
Need help on choosing the right polisher for the business. Been looking for porter cable here in Indonesia, jakarta, but no luck. Only available from makita, hitachi and bosch.
Need help on choosing between them.
    Thanks guys

Nb. I'm really inspired by all the car finished result from using meguiars product here in this forum.

If you can purchase the G-100 and you will be amazed at all the defects that polisher can remove with the right pads, product and etc.

Most likely all 3 of those are rotary's and if you havent had experience using one I wouldnt try on a customer's car. They can be quite dangerous in the wrong hands.

Makita and Bosch make dual-action machines that are somewhat similar to the PC. So do Festool and Flex. Hitachi probably does too but I haven't seen it.

The Makita BO6040 is popular. I don't know which Bosch models are appropriate.

        PC.

              Re: need advice choosing polisher

The PC uses two kinds of pads: W8006 polishing and W9006 finishing.

You should only use the 6.5in. pads because the PC can not handle the bigger 8in. pads. The polishing pads can be used for removing defects while the finishing pad should be used to apply polishes and waxes.

I'd love to provide more info, but I've got classes tomorrow.....zzzzz.......

@ MI DOG : right now I'm thinking on going mobile first, hope someday have my own place for the business.
Do you have your own mobile detailing business here in jakarta ?

@SUBARU WRX : Too bad I cannot find them here at where I live.

Maybe I'll go for makita since it really light ( compare to other brand )
