  • Hard Water Marks

I just did my first detail job with a PC 7427. I dont have any swirls or major sratches that I need to worry about but I do have water marks. I washed with a two bucket method twice (huge difference) and then took my time with the quick clay. After the clay I did the scratch X and Swirl Remover #9 and still had water marks. I did get rid of some but still have plenty. How can I get rid of my water marks? Here is a recap of the steps I did with products.
    1. wash with NXT car wash with two bucket method
    2. ditto #1
    3. Quick Clay
    4. Scratch X
    5. Swirl Remover #9
    6. Mirroe Glaze Show room #7
    7. NXT Wax

The finish was outstanding! Very nice shine and smoothness to the paint but still had hard water marks left. You have to look closly to the car to see them but they are there and they need to go. Can't belive that I didnt get a DA sooner. Will post pics as soon as I download from camera.

    Re: Hard Water Marks

#9 is a very mild cleaner. You would want to do a test spot with #80 next, and then if still no good, #83. 8006 pads for both.

As you can read in OctaneGuys "Ghost Watermarks" thread, those hard water marks can be a pain.

      Re: Hard Water Marks

I find #80 with an W8006 pad to work great at removing water spots.
