  • just want to be sure about DACP

I know you guy's get tired of asking question after question about DACP, but i need to know EXACTLY how to use it with my PC becasue i've herad that when you don't use it right, it leaves more swirls.

    What pad,
    what speed,
    how long,
    what to look for
    you get the idea.

the other chemicals i have are as follows:
#1, #2, #7, DC wash, DC 1, DC 2, #34 FI, scratcX, and gold class wax.

if you could give me a proceedure using these products, I woud be eternally greatful.

    thanks

    Stevo

Where did you hear that from? I used DACP the first time I ever used a PC and eliminated ALL of my swirls. It is EXTREMELY forgiving. Just keep the polishing(8006) pad flat to the surface, work the DACP on setting 4.5, then wipe when you have worked the polish to nearly dry. Inspect your work, If swirls remain redo with more pressure on the pad. Some swirls cannot be removed with a PC, but the vast majority can be.

    IMHO procedure

    1. DC wash x2
    2. Clay (but you don't have it)
    3. Try to remove the swirls with DC 1
    4. Then progess to DACP if that doesn't work
    5. Follow with DC 2 on a different pad
    6. Finish with application of GC wax (hand or PC)
I sometimes judge people by the cleanliness of their car.

OK, sweet. I just wanted to be cautious because using anything that has the word ABRASIVE in it makes me cringe, but i trust meg's. By the way, i do have a clay bar, i figured i wouldn't need it this time since lesst han a week ago i did the following:

      1. DC wash
      2. Clay
      3. DC 1
      4. dc 2 (x3)
      5. #7 (x1)
      6. Gold Class with orbital (not PC)
      7. Gold Class by hand 12 hours later

so it's not like my paint has been neglected

or at least not since I got my hands on it.

      thanks for the help
