  • Uses for Hyper Dressing and APC

I am looking to buy hyper dressing and APC soon and wondering what these can be used on and what dilution ratio do you use on every different thing.

Also thinking of buying Safe D-Greaser and wondering if it's stronger than APC and if it's worth it for engine dregreaser.

They can be used for all kinds of stuff...

APC can clean carpets ,fabric, plastic, leather, wheelwells, shoes, tiles, countertops, outdoor furniture, garden statues...

Hyperdressing can be used on plastic and rubber, so it is good for plastic and rubber trim, wheelwells, can be used on tires, it can spruce up the plastic covers on a lawn mower, hard suitcases....

Re: Uses for Hyper Dressing and APC

Nah here in Australia the only decent supplier for meguiar products only has APC, Hyper Dressing, Safe D-Greaser, and Silicone Free Dressing.

Want to get into detailing as side business mainly just family members, family friends and few other people who want a job a carwash can't do.

So for APC what ratio would you guys use and for what things

Also for Hyper Dressing what ratio would you use for which things.

Going to buy the Standard Sprayer bottles so 4 bottles for APC and 4 for Hyper Dressing.

With APC, 10:1 covers most everything really. I tend to mix mine a little more like 8:1 or so, but it is rare to need it much stronger.

With Hyper-Dressing, you may have to see what you like, which parts you like glossy or more matte.

Also would APC be enough for a engine degreaser or would it also be good to get Safe D-Greaser for those extra dirty engine bays.

Also how long does Hyper Dressing last for black plastics on outside of cars and also as a tire dressing how long does it last.

Re: Uses for Hyper Dressing and APC

Ive used APC+ diluted 4:1 on the engine and I wasnt impressed. My engine wasnt that dirty(mostly just dust), but it still didnt do much. It works great diluted 10:1 for carpets, the dash, fenderwells(4:1 for me), and the like.

I plan on getting some super degreaser for the engine and things of that nature.

I would love to get some Hyper dressing, but gosh that stuff it expensive in the gallon size.

Yeah I am wondering about Hyper Dressing, it's very popular but also very expensive and also it's waterbased so it doesn't last that long on parts like outside trim, wheel wells and tyres but I still might buy a gallon to try out.

Is Safe D-Greaser stronger than APC and wondering if safe d-greaser would work well on engine bays.

APC will work fine for engine detailing, if your first application doesn't get the engine bay clean enough to meet your expectations you can always re-apply and clean again.

Hyper Dressing is water-based, this enables you dilute it yourself for the desired look and application. It also means it won't hold up as long as a solvent-based product.

What would you guys recommend for long lasting black finish and protection for outside trim and wheel wells. Is hyper dressing really only option for outside trim and wheel wells which comes in 1gallon.

Wanting something in atleast 1gal and hyper dressing seems like only thing unless I buy consumer products but it can get quite expensive if used a whole lot.

Autodetailingsolutions DOT com sells 32 oz samples of Meguiars products. I bought a sample of All season dressing and love it. I may also buy a sample of the Hyper dressing since it comes as a concentrate and you can dilute it.

I agree with you on the all season dressing. Bought the sample from ads, mainly for the wheel wells. Used it and know I'm hooked gotta love trying out new products(for me at least) from megs.

Yup, thats where I use it also and gosh does it last forever if it doesnt rain, also use it on the engine till I get some Hyper dressing.. It looks great on any exterior plastic also until it rains.. It tends to run on the plastic and it looks bad..
