How many microfibre cloth do you use per car?

This is my first post. I've been a frequent visitor to this forum for the past few months and learning tonnes of detailing tips.

Currently I have the following MG products:
1) DC1
2) DC2
3) ColorX
4) GC Liquid Wax
5) NXT Tech Liquid Wax
6) Quik Detailer spray
7) GC Trim Detailer

Normally I would use the ColorX+NXT combo if I'm pressed for time. Otherwise DC1,DC2,NXT x 2 or NXT+GC. My car is an average size sedan, but I'm beginning to wonder whether I need more than my 7 pieces of MF cloth to properly remove all the wax and not worried about scratching my paint due to the wax residue left in the cloth.

My question is how many MF cloth do you guys recommend to remove the wax? The best practice I suppose, is to have 1 for each car section but that would mean 12 pieces at least.

I've found that one folded (so i have four sides) is more than enough for my truck of course they are super plush polishing towels it just depends on the kind and quality of MF towel you have.

I detailed my car today and used:
drying: two mf towels (waffle-weave)
claying: two mf cloths (supreme shine)
polishing, one step: three mf cloths (new ultimate wipe)
waxing, one coat: three mf cloths (new and original ultimate wipe)

I have about 40 mf cloths of varying types.

to mol. I have found that one usually doesnt have too many m/f clothes. I probably have 25 -30 and I still feel I need more. I try to remember, accidents happen.

For actual use.
1 large WW for drying after washing.
1 for the windows. Sometimes 2.
1 to remove polish residue. If I used two or three steps of polishing, I would use one MF for each step.
1 for removal of each sealant or wax.

For the unforeseen.
At least one extra of each use to cover the one that you drop or get contaminated in some way.

It is handy to have about twice as many as you think you need so you don't have to wash them after each use.
I rarely use more than four, but I must own 40.

2 dryin magnets
1 for trim clean up
1 for final wipe
2 for tires and rims

I guess it's up to the person and the product being used. It's pretty obvious when you gonna need more so just buy more and more and more.

You can never have to many microfibres.

Thats about what I use... I would guess I have 30-40 total, no I don't use them all on a detail but I have them when I detail more than one car in a day and as other have said you always feel you have the need for more!

You can never have to many microfibres.

I use 6 to 8 MF give or take. 2-3 large towls to dry the car after a wash. Depends on how big the vehicle is.

Wow, 40 mf clothes? Doesn't your wife, gf, or mum complain about them? Looks like I will be collecting more mf soon!

Nope.

You probably will, but until you find out you need more, there isn't any reason to go buy more just to have them. The seven you have now should allow you to wash, polish, and wax your car even if you happen to drop one. 1 or 2 for drying, 1 or 2 for polishing, 1 or 2 for waxing, 1 to drop.

Just a quick wipe with detailer on a clean car. 3

Wash and dry car. 8

Go over clean car with DA and #80 5

The full monty. 20 (Wash, dry, DA with 83, then 82, then 80, then NXT)
