  • NXT Techwax Question

    Hey guys,

Quick question, if I want to apply 2 layers of NXT Techwax, do I have to reapply the second layer on TOP of the first one, or do I have to wipe off the first layer first and then apply the second layer?

    Thanks,
    Simon

    Re: NXT Techwax Question

    Apply 1st coat.
    Let dry to a haze.
    Wipe Clean.
    Wait 15 minutes if possible.
    Apply 2nd coat.
Let it dry to a haze.
    Wipe Clean.

        Re: NXT Techwax Question

Do you EVER wash your car with nxt carhwash or something else after a period of time? Like when it gets a little dirty, or do you just speed detail with the clay or speed detailer and an MFT?

Would washing the car with nxt carhwash wipe off wax?

            Re: NXT Techwax Question

Washing with NXT car wash will not wash off wax. None of Meguiars car washes will. Everytime you clay a car it removes the wax. Using seed detailer thats just for minor little peices of dirt. Say you just washed your car and while driving you didnt see this little puddle but you drive through it. When you get back home thats when the quik detailer or speed detailer comes in to get ride of that little dried splash of water. Or quik detailer and speed detailer are for giving the car a quick wipe down to remove any dust or stuff. Just my 2 cents.

first i would never recommend using Speed Detailer to clean off pieces of dirt. dust etc.. YES. not pieces of dirt NO. because during the drag portion of your cleaning, it'll drag the dirt pieces along the paint and scratch it. but i'm sure this is what the post above me meant to say.

if its just dirty with dust etc...than use QD or SP with a quality MF and you're fine. BUT, if you're seeing pieces and chunks, use the NXT car wash and this way you'll be better off.

you might want to look into spray waxes if you're looking for that wax look.
