Polish on light colours?

Hello friends,

I have a silver Civic, it is 1 year old, and It feels with contaminants and very light swirls I am planning to:

1.Wash and clay
2. Polish
3. Wax NXT

I was reading that Deep crystal polish is for dark colors.

What would you recommend? Can I use DC on silver color?, or should I only clay and wax?

Since your car is a year old, you will probably want a cleanign step as well after claying.

Either:

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Clean - DC1 is a nice mild cleaner, easy to use.
4. Polish - DC2 is a fine choice for any car.
5. Wax

or Wash
2. Clay
3. Cleaner/Wax or ColorX
4. Wax

While there are those who will tell you that certain products give a better look on dark colors and others are better for light colors, you would do well to think about Lucky161's comment "what color is your clear coat" because that is what you're actually working on. Beyond that I agree with Murr1525's recommendation.

Ask lilblkblt04 on his F-150 forum. His car is white and cleaned it well. I really recomend it.

The clear coat is clear. It is the coat of clear protection they put on your paint that is the colot of your car.
