    ok , my question is,

1)a cleanar wax remove swirl marks and fine scrayches like a paint cleaner???

    2) if i will use a cleaner/wax i need to use a paint cleaner to remove old wax or the cleaner/ wax do the job of remove old wax???

    3) what cleaner/wax is better, cleaner/wax A1216 or cleaner/wax #6??

    Re: question about cleaner wax

    1. Some of the cleaner/waxes can a bit, but a dedicated product would be better. Like ScratchX, if you are working by hand.

    2. A cleaner/wax can remove old wax, though removing old wax isnt as big a deal as some paeople make it out to be.

    3. Well, you'd have to define better . By hand, I'd pick ColorX. By machine, #66 would probably be a good start.

      1. Some cleaner/waxes will remove some swirls and fine scratches.

      2. You shouldn't have to use a paint cleaner if you use a cleaner wax, but a lot depends upon the condition of the finish before you start.

      3. #6 and ColorX are both a little more aggressive than A1216. All three are very good products. ColorX and #6 will remove very fine swirls and marring.

that mean that 2 coat of cleaner/ wax is a lost of time because the second coat will remove the first??

          Re: question about cleaner wax

I guess it is a two part answer...

          1. Yes, 2 coats of cleaner/wax is a bit pointless in my opinion, since it will remove the previous coat.

          2. Yes, a cleaner/wax will remove old wax that is present, but some people obsess about having to 'remove all the old wax before detailing their car'. I mean, if the old wax is that hard to remove, then leave it there, it is doing a good job.

what is your recomendation of a cleaner / wax??? i have a black car and my paint is in very very good condition, like a new car, no swilrs , no scratches(maybe have but i didn t see any yet), almost a perfect paint

              Re: question about cleaner wax

My short details looks like this:

              1. Wash
              2. Clay if needed
              3. ColorX
              4. #21 Synthetic Sealant

              So you could easily do:

              1. Wash
              2. Clay if wanted
              3. ColorX, or the regular Cleaner/Wax if that is what you can get
              4. (Optional) - Nxt

On a side note, after your first coat of Nxt in your regular detail, dont use a Speed Detailer right away. Either apply a second coat of Nxt, or just let the first coat set up for a few hours before using a detailer on it.

the reason for apply #21 or nxt for the last step is additional protection or for a better shine??

                  Re: question about cleaner wax

Bit of both... remember Meguiars recomends 2 coats of wax for best looks and protection.

And since single purpose products will give better results than all-in-one products, so it will have better looks/protection than the cleaner/wax.

ColorX and #21 are a great combo for those that like the perfect look but don't want to do all the steps. It really is a two step process (unlike some of the 3 steps that come out to 5 if you are a little crazy ) and you have clean paint and a good coat of protection!
