  • scratch x safe on motorcycles

i have a 2006 Kawasaki zzr 600. I bought it out of a test fleet and it came with some scratches on the tank and a rear piece of fairing which is made of (plastic/fiberglass?). Is it safe to use on bikes?

Is it painted, or solid colored plastic?

ScratchX is for paint, so as long as it is a painted piece, you are ok.

The tank is painted maybe with a clear coat but the fairing has paint but no clear coat.

Clear coat, or single stage paint is ok...as long as it is painted.

A friend of mine bought a new Kawasaki last summer. He is more anal then me about stickers, decals etc on any of his vehicles. after he pulled some stickers off the bike, he had some scratches and residual glue left over. I let him use some scrachx and they all disapeared. Hope this helps.
