  • ColorX, will it really remove light swirls?

hello, i've been some past posts on the ColorX and everyone seems to really like that product. Will ColorX (put on by hand, with "passion") really remove light swirls and holograms?

if put with "passion", how hard do I have to work it in with a applicator pad? B/c am afraid I may put too much ColorX wax on the car? everyone on the forum says to use a thin as possible?

    thanks

Color-X will remove minor defects by hand. Scratch-X may be a better choice for you though because it will remove them better and faster than Color-x since that is its intended for this purpose. Both will require some "passion" to be effective by hand.

Scratch X and Deep Crystal paint cleaner is the way to go.

IMO,I think Color X is just better than Cleaner Wax.

I wanted to know also, will ColorX just fill in the micro scratches (thus swirls/holograms) on the clearCoat? or will it lightly sand the ClearCoat so that light swirls are permanently gone?

It is not a filler and will actually remove minor defects if done properly.

am using a even coat foam applicator, so I'm doing it by hand, how hard should I "scrub" the ColorX wax on the cars' paint?

Don't "scrub" it. You need to work it in more of an irregular circle. I have found better results if you make clockwise and counter-clockwise circles when doing it by hand. Just apply light pressure and let it do the work. Wipe off when it starts to look hazy, then reapply as needed.
