  • My favorite wax-color combos, whats yours?

I know Meg's offical stance is that if a wax/sealent looks best on one color, then it looks best on every color... However, I find each wax/sealent has certain attributes and that these attributes may enhance the attributes of certain colors more then others, so here is my favorite wax-sealents to use on certain colors....

    Black.... #26 or #16
    Dark Blue.... #26
    Blue... #21
    Purple.... #26
    Dark Red.... #26
    Red... #21
    Yellow.... #16
    Dark Green.... #21
    Green... #21
    Burnt Orange... #26
    Tan/Gold/Earthtones.... #21
    Silver.... #21 or NXT
    Dark Gray... #21 or #26
    White... NXT

Also, on cars with metal flakes I have found that #21 or NXT tend to pop the flakes more then #16 or #26 so on heavily flaked finishes I tend to use one or the other, regardless of the color.

Here are some pictures of different color cars with my favorite combo's

    21 on a Black Vette

26 topped with 16 on black

    26 on dark blue

21 topped with 26 on the same color blue

    21 on Metallic gray

    16 on a blown yellow Z06

21 topped with 16 on a yellow Vette

    21 on a white BMW

21 topped with NXT on a white MX-5

    26 on a red Vette

Let's make all of the cars shiny!

My favorite combo is #20 on any color and green in my pocket.

Detailing cars is a form of art. Most appreciate it, few possess the required skill and even fewer understand it.
