  • zymol vs. meguiar's

    Hello,
I am using my friend's account to post. I just a 2007 Camry XLE and I want to protect it from the start. I delayed waxing on all my other cars when they were new and now the paint is horrible. I want to buy the best protection wax as possible. I don't have a rotary buffer, nor do I plan on buying one. Everyone knows that japanese cars have thinner paint than german cars and most other cars, so I researched and found zymol japon wax.
I read some reviews and it seems very good. PRICE IS NOT AN ISSUE, IT'S THE RESULTS THAT MATTER...I PAYED 25000 FOR A CAR, I AM WILLING TO PAY 46 TO PROTECT IT. So....my question is, has anybody used this wax? Should I get it...I'd really recommend a quick response, as I want to wax it asap. Is there a wax that will give me the same PROTECTION? I don't really car about looks as much as PROTECTION. Thanks

That link will be removed because its against forum rules. But honestly you can go buy some #21 synthetic sealant and it will last insanely long. Just see the results people have got here even with just NXT tech wax. I think 46 is just a bit too much. Price higher doesnt always mean better product per say. Im sure someonee else will chime in too.

NXT x 2 is simply fantastic at a reasonable cost...long lasting and with a deep shine.

          Khalid,

IMO- Meguiars makes the finest products, my last car was a daily driver for 8 years and looked like brand new when sold it last year. It was kept washed, cleaned, polished, and waxed with only meguiars. The main thing that keeps paint new looking is the oils, your paint drys out just like your skin, the meguiars polishes are just like moisteurizers for dry skin. If you use a meguiars polish on dull, dry paint it will **** it up like a sponge.

            Re: zymol vs. meguiar's

I've used Zymol a couple of times, the leather cleaner/conditioner and a wax that you have to refrigerate after opening (don't know why but the instructions says it)

Being honest to you, Meguiar's is BETTER by far, better results, ease to apply/remove

I've always had japan made cars, Subaru, Mitsubishi, I live in the Dominican Republic and they are ALL made in Japan and let me tell you that the wax like NXT works great on the paint..

I have used Zymol in the past. This is like ten years ago before I went exclusively to megs. IMHO i would use megs #21 or Gold Class. Just my opinion. The Zymol did not thrill me.

I could be wrong but the ingrediants are expensive in zymol there not persay a beter wax/protectant. I think its the white brazilian carnuba wax that makes up the price in the zymol products.

I don't think that was directed at you JohnyB..........I'm pretty sure it was for the topic starter. He stated he was posting under someone elses account.
