Spring is just days away and I'm planning to detail my GTI next weekend so that I can take my VW and rub shoulders at the Good-Guys 25th All American Get Together Mar. 24 - Mar. 25, 2007 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. Yah I know it's Rod & Custom association, but if you have that car crazy gene so what! So I need my ride to look its very best so here is my plan and let me know if I am leaving anything out:
1. Wash & Dry
2. Clay, and if needed clay again
3. #80 to get out all of the swirl and fine scratches
4. #7 Show Car Glaze
5. NXT – 2 Coats
6. #26 as my top coat
My rims will also get clayed, and get a coat NXT, and the tires will get pampered as well.
I know that # 80, NXT and #26 can be applied with me PC 7424 but are there and considerations when applying #7 by machine?
Also can you suggest anything that I may have missed?
My ride as of last weekend, and there will be new pictures after I'm done
