  • Old Tree Sap on a Window

What is the best way to remove tree sap that is on the front windshield? It been on there for three weeks and we had a heat wave so it is baked on.

    Thanks.

    Give clay a try.

Try Goo Gone - or a razor blade, carefully used and well-lubricated with glass cleaner.

I would second the option of claying the window.

I dont think clay is going to get it off if its really baked on, i would try to scrape it off with an ice scraper maybe.

Claying did not do anything. Has anyone used 83 or 80 on glass?

Meguiars does not recommend using them on glass.

But, I and others have used #83 would good luck on water spots. Not sure it will work on sap. Give it a try and let us know how it works. Otherwise something like Goo Off might work.

              Good luck!

I would try aggressive clay or #4. Or maybe body solvent or bug and tar remover.

give speedy 500 a try! it's made by kent industries or call 1-800-654-6333 to order. i think i give around $48.00 and worth every penny! if you've ever used goo gone to remove the glue left over after removing pin stripes or decals , it takes way to long. with speedy 500 you can remove the glue very quickly and safely. anyway just trying to help.
