Re: Hi-Tech Yellow or NXT?
hi i-vetech,i've used both plus gold glass waxes in liquid form and had great shine, darker and reflective paint. there all great waxes i think it all comes down to user choice or preference.also i'm starting to do LSP with paste wax, also having great results. again there all great waxes and it comes down to preference.i'm going to try to get a black hood from a junk yard and do a side by side test to see which one, if any are better then the next. try a side by side for your self on your car or ? after all your the only one you need to impress/confence.''USE THE LEAST AGGRESSIVE PRODUCT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT''
You Don't Know What You Can Do Until You Try '' TECHNIQUE IS EVERYTHING''

Re: Hi-Tech Yellow or NXT?
Well, as a final step, I like Hi-Tech Yellow #26 hands down. But, to get the best results, you will need the paint to be in excellent shape. Pre-cleaned and clayed if needed. NXt has some "light" cleaning ability which #26 does not. NXt does a good job of removing some real light scratches and cleans the paint of light surface contaminants. I say try doing the extra few steps cleaning the paint then try #26. It's an awesome product.

Re: Hi-Tech Yellow or NXT?
If NXT give you that high gloss finich and # 26 "Adds richness and depth of color" why not apply apply NXT as a top coat for #26. Why can't you have it both ways? serious question.---

Re: Hi-Tech Yellow or NXT?
NXT and #26 are totally different waxes, NXT is totally polymer based and #26 is almost totally natural carnuaba based. #26 has absolutely no cleaners and polish, and NXT has a tiny amount of cleaners and I think polish (perhaps someone from Meguiars will chime in and clarify if NXT has polishing oils or not, if so I think it's just a tiny bit).
Iin my experience NXT lasts longer then #26, however #26 totally beads water and NXT tends to sheet it off.
Both NXT and #26 need good surface prep, and a pre polish. IMO- the polishing oils is what really adds most of the gloss, not the wax.

Re: Hi-Tech Yellow or NXT?
FWIW,
I just detailed the wifes Benz yesterday and did half the hood in my favorite #26 and the other with #21 (which i think may be close to NXT since it is a polymer?) and I honestly could not tell the difference in shine/gloss. So i ended up using #21 since I just bought it for the test.

Re: Hi-Tech Yellow or NXT?
Do you have a PC and cleaner polishes and clay to get the surface flawless before applying the wax?
#26 is my favorite wax, hands down. Better than Pinnacle Souveran, better than P21S, better than any other hyped up, overpriced wax. My old Scion tC was blue and after I got the finish perfect after polishing I would apply #7 and then #26 and the look was beautiful.
