can you be a little more specific on what you mean with 'bumps' ?
and if available ... do you have some pictures of it...
a visual is easier to notice what is on the surface...

I would love to send photo, unable to at this time! As I stated it literally looks as though `sand was thrown on the surface were I had waxed the evening before`. Took my finger nail and gently run it over the spots and they can be removed ! Looks as though wax was old, is that possible! The evening the work was done this surface was smooth as a babies bottom, next morning was when discovered problem. I guess I`ll have to wash down with dish soap (strip wax job) and redo. As I`ve stated, never had this problem in all the yrs. I`ve used Meguiars! Still hope to find others who may have encountered same problem! Jeff

I wouldn't use dish soap. it's way to hard on the trim and rubber, plus it removes oil from your paint that you want to keep. if you really want to remove the old wax I would use a paint cleaner like deep cystal #1, or mppc, even #9 or #82 swirl free polish should do the trick with the added benifit of adding oils to your paint instead of stripping them away.

what are the "bumps" when you remove them? Wax residue ? Something else? I would give the car a wash and see if that removes them (if there not too stuck on) If it dosent remove them, i would clay than re-wax. If we knew what these bumps were im sure you would get a more detailed response BTW dont use dish soap! you dont know for sure if those bumps are abrasive! i would use a very high lube carwash soap to lower the chance of creating some swirls while trying to remove them.

I'm going to Subscribe to this Thread because I have the same problem, and as of yet I can not pin point the cause..

            My prosses is
#20 next day after washing w/ NXT wash
(NXT wash is new for me but don't think this is the cause)
NXT the next day light wash then did a gold classic wax only on the front hood fenders.
Have been using NXT for months now don't think this is the cause either.
did not notice the spots in till after I did a "mist & wipe"

The ones (spots) that I have are little white spots like tree sap but pop will off with a finger nail but will not wipe off with a Microfiber.
Hope its not a chemical reaction between senthitc and wax.

they look like wax but feel like sand.

Don't mean to High jack this post.

I guess I`ll have to wash down with dish soap
Hang in there help is on the way

Please don't use dish soap on your finish you'll kill it.

            TIA

I had this problem, traced it back to when my dad was doing the roof of the car and lifted the PC off the surface, splattered polish all over the hood, didn't catch it right away, but it is like the sand texture you can pop off with your fingernail. I used clay to remove it, made short work of it.

I notice the same kind of problem after my 2nd wash 2 weeks after clay,#83,#82 and 2 coats of NXT.Surface was nice and clean after, didnt notice any after the first normal weekly washing but did after the 2nd.Not sure what it is or what is causing it, looks like residue, only comes off with a finger nail.
