  • Cleaning up after polishing.

    Hello everyone,

How do i really clean up all the mess (splatters, dusts) after polishing?

Even by washing the car or wiping off, i find it frustrating with all the mess and its hard to remove them by the end of the day. I would like to know if anyone has a solution or far better ways to this. Really Need help.

    TIA.

    where are you getting splatter?

on your trim? one easy solution would be to just tape off any exterior trim, door handles, emblems etc...

for your trim you can use #40 or #39. they work well.

for dust you can use a QD with a Supreme Shine MF.

Are you polishing with a rotary or DA? You shouldn't get too much splatter with a DA if your technique is good, but with the rotary it's almost impossible to NOT get splatter. That's why it's recommended to tape off trim, mask off windows, tires/wheels and large plastic areas with newspaper, towels, etc.

like the dvd says; Preperation is the key. Spend a little time beforehand in taping off the trim tires etc to save yourself a larger headache when your done with your car.
