First time mess up

this was my first time using nxt paste, and well, lets just say it is a lot different then nxt liquid. I went over kill on the wax, i put like half a can. now i have a super thick coat of wax on my car and im waiting for it to dry! Maybe im going to use liquid from now on, its so much easier to tell how much your putting on.

I think I did that my first time... it is easy to put on too much. Or slowly put on more and more as you go and not realize it.

are you kidding lol half the can, you must have a kenworth or something

i mean i used like 5 lick of the applicator to do my whole mercedes , you just have to dose and keep using the product even if you dont see it, the paste kinda goes on clear then haze to a white color while it's drying!

keep on using it, imho the paste last longer and is usualler easier to dose than liquid, you only need to adapt!

one reason why i like the liquid better. this way, the amount you put on is always consistent because with the paste sometimes when you dip in to get some you might press harder one time then other times.

That is one of the reasons i like liquid better. Shake it up its ready to use. Put A small amount on your pad or applicator and your good to go. More consistant, evenly applied. Just a few of the reasons I kike liquid better. Just my $0.02.

I get just as good a coat with paste as I do with liquid. In fact, I prefer paste over liquid. I think it is easier to control how much you are applying. I don't know how you added half a can to a whole car. I'm like the guy above. I rarely put the applicator back in the can. A little goes a LONG way. You just need a little practice.

ya i would have to say, i used 5 licks just on my door! Its so hard to tell if your actually putting any thing on, but i dont mind , once i find out what is better for gloss liquid or paste, if you guys want you can check out my new thread this is really bothering me

i apply and work it in to a thin layer, and from there i look from an angle to see if there is wax on the finish (my car is silver too ). if i have any doubt, i'll swipe a little section to make sure there is wax on there...
