  • which detailing stuff to buy?

From reading around the past couple days I have found that these products are the best to use...

    21-synthetic sealent
    80-speed glaze
    1-meduim cut cleaner
    82-swirl free polish
    83-dual action cleaner/polish
    7-showcar glaze

Now I know i dont need all of these since my car will be going to get painted soon...but my buddy and I have been buying/fixing and then reselling cars. The car we have is red and the paint is awful...which of the above products should I buy to bring the oxidedized(sp?) paint back? I already have the three step deep crystal stuff but I do not think it is strong enough to fix the paint. thanks

if the DC system isn't strong enough them its time to move into the Pro Line.

I remember Mike did a Ford Bronco once with only Colour-X and it looked sick.

he did it all by hand to.

so sometimes that's all it takes.

          Wash
          Clay
          Colour-X
NXT or your choice of wax X 2

but if that don't work or doesn't meet your standards.

          Wash
          Clay
M80 - least aggressive product first
          M83 - if M80 doesn't cut it good enough
#7, #6 - not really needed but brings nice shine since its a pure polish
          Wax x 2
          M21

but i'm not sure how much time you wanna spend. it sounds like its all about turn around and flipping in your line of business. so you want to get the car, fix it up, clean it up asap. the second of the two options will defiently take a lot longer.

your best bet is to do a Test Spot on the hood and find out what is working the best for you.

do you have any pics to show us?

          all the best.

One thing that the guys didn't already mention is that you really don't need and can't really use 1(medium cut cleaner) with a DA, it's really only made for rotary.
I would say you probably don't really need 7 and 82 because they are both similar. If your looking as short of a route as possible, you really don't need either as long as you put a good coat of 80 on first.

I agree with this too. won't really need it, but does help give it a better shine.

Good luck with your little business of buying and reselling cars.

I bought the Show Car Glaze and it works great. It gives the piant a nice reflection to it. This picture has the Show Car Glaze on it. The car still looks wet.

I can get some pics...i really dont mind spending a weekend on the car...the better the paint looks the more i can get pics of it...the spoiler is the worst....looks super dull. I know the spoiler needs more than the deep crystal system cuz my old car was the same way and it didnt work...ill prolly just buy 80, 7, and 21. If that doesnt work then ill get the 83 and go from there. Thanks alot guys!!!!!!!
