    Spray Wax....ebony marauder...

    Hi,

    My son is moving to Florida with his ebony, perfect, Marauder.

    Its perfect because I am the waxer.

    He's not in to it.

    What would you suggest to use to keep the shine up between washers (he'll wash with the right car soap)?

    Would spray wax be good - he can handle that? What brand?

    Spray wax is a very good candidate to maintain a great shine. I would suggest the NXT Spray Wax. Being that this is a Meguiar's forum, Meguiar's would obviously be brand of choice.

    Spray wax is very easy to use, but it will not offer the level of protection that NXT, GC, and #26 can offer. It is meant to be a "touch up" between waxes. You could also try QD to wipe off dust occasionally.
    As for soaps, I prefer GC because I find that it is very gentle on the paint - more so than NXT. Besides, NXT dries out my hands. Do NOT use dish soap - dish soaps are meant for dishes and car soaps are meant for cars.

      well if he is not into waxing i would recomend using a spray wax(i would try to get him to use paste or liquid) spray waxing is the easiest way to wax, as for maintaining i would recomend meguiars quick detailer or nxt speed detailer. Meguiars is the best brand i my opinion, buy meguiars and you know your getting a quality product worth the cash.

        He'll also wash with a Grit Guard, and the proper towels, sponges, etc?

        And I agree, for the quickest, fastest thing, Quick Detailer or Nxt Speed Detailer would be best. You can even spray it around while drying to really cut it down if he wants it quick.

          i think dad should give him a going away present: By that I mean A wash bucket,grit guards, some Microfibers Quick Detailer (your choice0 applicator pads,and some liquid wax. Maybe having these things around, and you not being around, maybe his car detailing gene will suddenly awaken. (one could hope).
