I know the directions say to use a rotary buffer, but I'm having a problem. The pad gets "clumpy" with the product and it doesn't seem to spread evenly. I did try a few small test spots by hand and it worked well, but I'm wondering if there's an underlying reason why it needs to be applied with a rotary.

Re: Can #4 be applied by hand?
Actually the original formula for this product was formulated for use by hand but over time we update formulas whenever new technology becomes available to match changes in the industry and currently M04 is only for use with a rotary buffer.
How are you applying as described above?
