  • busy road/dust problems (wax application)

I live near a uite busy road, and in the spring and ummer there is a fair bit of fine dust flying around. Should i polish and wax my car somewhere else? How dangerous is this? I tend to use well over 5 hours...

Probably not too bad, but if you are trying for a perfect look, then you might want to try to gaurd against it. Either move the car into a garage, etc, or to go along with your other post, you might want to order some extra detailing spray.

You could maybe work on half the car, then spray and wipe the dust off the other half, or something like that.

Indoors would be best, but you arent going to get 5 hours of dust buildup, because you will be going over the whole car 3 or 4 times applying and removing products.

A brush like that would be a good option also, maybe even a faster option. I have never used one, but lots of people like them. Probably not a bad idea.

You wouldnt want to use a polish, then QD spray, then wax, as it could remove the polish. It would be ok after a cleaner.

The brush should be ok at any point in the detail.

Meguiars actualy stopped making their brushes, so if you cant get it (maybe get 2 if you can), California Duster is also a common brand.
