  • How NOT to apply Meguiar's & thank you

Mike thank you for showing me how I have been doing almost everything 100% wrong! Thank you.

ScratchX - My work area was 2 big, and not working it into the finish.
Show Car Glaze # 7 - My work area was 2 big, and not working it into the finish.

Do you see the pattern starting to emerge? Rush, rush, rush!

I now feel energized to take on all three of my cars and I am sure that I can make them look as good as that 60’s black vette. Just a couple of things that I want to make sure that I understand, the sequence of material used was Clay, Speed Glaze # 80, 2 coats of NXT, Show Car Glaze # 7, and NXT Spray Wax. Also was that splatter in the camera lens?

I am so jazzed I will be ordering my polisher ASAP and as soon as the rain stops up here in Nor Cal I will be outside all weekend doing my fleet .

    GREAT JOB

    A little clarification is needed.

The "detailing steps' of the video were cleaner/polish then wax.

The #7 and Spray Wax steps were tossed on at the end for fun and giggles. If you were to actually apply the #7 at the end, it would be washed off in the weather pretty quick.

If you want to use #7, you would go #80, #7, Wax.

Then Spray Wax after future washings to keep it looking sharp a while longer.

because 80 has oils in it already you don't even really need to use #7. you can skip it entirely.

I noticed a difference with the #7 after using #80. I have a black vehicle and the #7 just seems to give it a extra little pop.

Murr is correct. If you where to apply #7, it would come after the #80 but before you waxed/sealed it. This way you "lock in" the #7.
Let's make all of the cars shiny!
