I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent GL (the four door) with white paint that I am 99.9% positive is a single stage. I bought it last year. The paint has always had a yellow-brown haze to it, and I can't seem to get it completly gone, and in areas where it did look great, it only lasts a few weeks. I tried clay, and DC1, with Gold Class wax, Nxt, and DC3 at different times, I have also tried colorX. It always looks a lot better after I clean and wax it, but never perfect, and it never lasts. Why is that?

I think it would help every one to see some pictures of the car so we can better evaluate the situation...Attack life, it's going to kill you anyway.

Test Spot
Try using some ScratchX to a small section, a test spot about one foot squared. See if you can fix this one small section using a dedicated and white in color paint cleaner. If you can, then you can fix the entire car, if you cannot fix one small area, then aren't you glad you didn't do the entire car?

There are so many variables that it would be hard to pin down why your white Hyundai won't keep it's shine, such as...
Is the car on the street 24/7?
Parked in a drevaway oiutside or garaged?
Do you drive on paved roads, or dirt/gravel roads?
Are you parking in an industrial area? Fallout from smoke stacks, aircraft exhaust (if you are near a major airport) can affect the longevity of any LSP.
Are you in an area where they use a lot of road deicing chemicals? That can affect wax/sealant performance, too.Meguiar's Fire/Rescue/EMS, member of the Church of the Highly Reflective Finish!

I will be trying, probably tomorrow, a test spot of 80, 83 with the G100.Danny Jensen, Detail Lab

Perhaps the color your seeing is the actual color of the car?
Is is a repaint? Maybe a bad paint job or tinted?

Re: White car, just refuses to look great!
Hi Detaillab, sometimes its the color that is the problem. As there are different white too. If u want, u can get it repainted in Pearlescent White color. My silver is also the same. I tried everything but it just can't "pop"....? Altho it still has gloss and reflection under the shade.
Until last year the car manufacturer came out with a newer facelift model. I only saw why my silver can't shine....? The newer model car's silver color is different. It has kinda light blueish silver (but still is silver, something like the new Merc S-Class silver) & it glows....! My silver was just dull; parking beside the newer model. I going to repaint my silver car soon....
