I am just curious if the quick detailer contains any silicone?
Nick
Off hand I don't know, I would have to find out. But like Matt said, unless you're getting your car ready to be painted, as in you're just about to push the car or drive the car into a paint booth to have fresh paint sprayed onto it, it really doesn't matter. Silicone is inert, it wont hurt anything and two things, Meguiar's has been making silicone-free products as long and in most cases longer than anyone, so when it comes to making a silicone-free products and when it comes to KNOWING when to make a product silicone-free, Meguiar's has you covered. The other thing is if our chemists put any ingredient into a formula it's either to benefit the product or benefit you and often times both.
This product has been out since 1981, that's 26 years of happy repeat customers and millions of cars that look clean and 'just detailed' because of it.

Awesome thats good to know about Mcguires beeing mostly silicone free. I'm currently a student at Wyotech in auto collission and refinishing and they mentioned most tire and dash sprays contain silicone which permantly adheres to a surface and is one of the many causes of orange peel when repainting. So I'm safe with the quick detailer, tire shine, and vinyl and rubber cleaners beeing silicone free?
Mike actualy said that Meguiars makes some products that are silicone free for body/collision type shops. Quick Detailer isnt one of them, but there is a detailing spray that is.
I am not sure about safe tire and vinyl products, but they would probably be applied well after painting, in a whole seperate area.
You might want to call and request a Professional Line Catalog, and you will be able to see the body shop safe products.
Yeah, I think you mis-read what I wrote, Meguiar's history is making products for body shops, but that would be our Professional Line, you're asking a question about a product in our Consumer Line. Think bigger. Call our Customer Care Call Center and ask them to send you a Professional Line Catalog
