  • To PC or not to PC

I have an older random orbital that doesn't really "wow" me. I bought it when I had a slight case of car detailing sickness. Now, with my full blown car craziness, this old craftsman (40$) doesn't seem to do much better than hand application. In fact it sometimes does a worse job. I was wondering if the famous PC would solve my lack of insane shininess.

    Thanks

I have never met anyone that regrets purchasing a porter cable dual action polisher.

As Barry say's, in his Power Polishing Video

Simple logic will tell you that you can never duplicate, by hand, the speed and action of an electric polisher...and likewise, you can never duplicate, by hand, the results of an electric polisher. The electric polisher will win every time... hands down.

Oh one last question... The 100a is the same dual action polisher as the PC7336 right? And all meguiars quality velcro pads will fit it with the correct backing right?

You won't regret buying the DA. They work way better than an orbital and you will save tons of time using one.

I would certainly think so...I have the 7336 model and I bought it from Meguiars.

I have the PC7336. I got mine at Lowes for $109. You can use the velcro system on it to. I bought the velcro system, but I haven't used it yet. I bought mine from Detail king. It's closer to me to order thing's that I need for detailing.

The 7336 is PC's sander part number, it is the same machine as the 7424 but the 7336 has a 6 in. counterweight and the 7424 has a 5 in. counterweight.
